A group term life insurance policy is provided for all full-time employees and is paid for entirely by the University. Coverage is provided at one and one-half times an employee’s annual salary, although a reduction in the amount of insurance begins at age 65. There is also coverage for dismemberment and a double indemnity clause for accidental death. Coverage becomes effective immediately upon full-time employment. Employees may purchase additional life and accidental death insurance for themselves through payroll deduction at group rates.
The University provides family life insurance for all full-time employees. Coverage becomes effective on the same day as the employee life insurance. This insurance is paid for entirely by the University and provides coverage for both the employee’s spouse and unmarried dependent children in the following amounts:
