Learning at LeTourneau University
is not confined to textbook studies. On the campus there are opportunities for students to participate with faculty on various research projects. Research projects give students a chance to discover and possibly create future engineering advancements. Along with student/faculty research, faculty members may pursue individual research projects on their own. These projects receive funding through various donations by alumni, companies and/or government research grants. Below are some recent and ongoing student activities involving Class Projects, National Competitions, Research, Senior Design projects and University-sponsored Organizations that attract many Engineering and Engineering Technology students.
Class Projects: Dynamics, Fundamentals, Robotics Lab, Statics
National Competitions: AeroDesign,
Formula SAE, Mini Baja, Virtual Arm, Walking
Machine, Supermileage
Research: Adhesives
Research, Smart Muscle, Virtual Arm,
