Traditional Students Russian Studies (RUSS) Off-Campus Semester and Summer Programs RUSS 1113 Elementary Russian I A student will be introduced to basic Russian grammar. This RUSS course is only offered through the Russian Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 3. RUSS 1123 Elementary Russian II A continuation of RUSS 1113 with additional emphasis on conversational Russian. This RUSS course is only offered through the Russian Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 3. RUSS 1124 Beginning Russian A student will study basic conversational Russian. This RUSS course is only offered through the Russian Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 4. RUSS 3103 Seminar I: History and Sociology of Religion This seminar delves into the history of religion in Russia dating from the beginnings of Christianity in the 10th century to the present day, with emphasis on Orthodoxy and Protestantism. This RUSS course is only offered through the Russian Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 3. RUSS 3202 International Relations And Business Issues related to business and government policy will be discussed. This RUSS course is only offered through the Russian Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 2. RUSS 3204 Seminar II: Russian Peoples: Culture and Literature Students will focus on the study of contemporary Russian history and culture from ancient times to the present. This RUSS course is only offered through the Russian Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 4. RUSS 3303 Seminar III: Russian In Transition An analysis of developments in Russia since 1991. This RUSS course is only offered through the Russian Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 3. RUSS 4941-4994 Special Topics Courses or special lectures on Russia not offered on a regular basis.
