Traditional Students Honors (HNRS) Honors HNRS 1023 Honors Freshman Composition II This course fulfills the requirement for ENGL 1023. Class 3. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program. (Spring) HNRS 1043 Biblical Worldview This course equips students to evaluate challenging social, philosophical, and religious questions through the biblical worldview. Students will analyze various non-biblical worldviews. Students will demonstrate their learning through exegesis, opinion papers, and group discussions. This course emphasizes analytical thinking, problem solving, theological formation, apologetics, writing, and hermeneutics. This course fulfills the requirement for BIBL 1043. Class 3. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program. (Fall) HNRS 1101 Freshman Honors Seminar This course assists the LeTourneau University Honors student in exploring the skills and attitudes necessary for achieving excellence. Student and University expectations associated with the Honors Program will be discussed. This course fulfills the requirement for LETU 1101. Class 1. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program. (Fall) HNRS 2003-2993 Special Topics Courses uniquely designed and offered to students enrolled in the Honors Program. Topics vary. Class 3. Prerequisites: HNRS 1023, HNRS 1043, and HNRS 1101. HNRS 2111 Seminar Topics Contemporary or other issues of special interest offered in a highly interactive format. Topics vary and the course may be taken more than once when the topics are different. Class 1. Prerequisites: HNRS 1023, HNRS 1043, and HNRS 1101. HNRS 3003-3993 Special Topics Courses uniquely designed and offered to students enrolled in the Honors Program. Topics vary. Class 3. Prerequisites: HNRS 1023, HNRS 1043, and HNRS 1101. HNRS 3111 Seminar Topics Contemporary or other issues of special interest offered in a highly interactive format. Topics vary and the course may be taken more than once when the topics are different. Class 1. Prerequisites: HNRS 1023, HNRS 1043, and HNRS 1101. HNRS 4911 Senior Seminar Interdisciplinary capstone experience designed to help integrate the various parts of the student's total academic program. Class 1.
