History 2301 introduces students to the craft of historical and political research, analysis, and writing. The course focuses on developing methods of conducting archival research, of locating, analyzing, and utilizing primary and secondary source material, and on the construction of scholarly papers. In addition, topics of professional development and career planning are explored.
