Traditional Students American Studies (AMER) Council of Christian Colleges and Universities AMER 4202 Foundations For Policy Analysis And Public Involvement I & II The purpose of this course is to help a student understand the theological and cultural context of American politics. A student will discuss and evaluate reasons for political involvement and the evolution of American political institutions. A student will be introduced to public policy analysis. This AMER course is only offered through the American Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 2. AMER 4403 Seminar: Domestic Policy Issues This course will focus on the study of a U. S. domestic policy. It will introduce various perspectives on social and political activism. This AMER course is only offered through the American Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 3. AMER 4503 Seminar: International Policy Issues This course will analyze a major international policy issue. A student will study efforts at reconciliation and peacemaking. This AMER course is only offered through the American Studies Program of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities. Class 3. AMER 4928 Internship A student will be expected to work a minimum of 20 hours a week in an approved intern position. Each intern will be evaluated by an American Studies Program faculty member, the immediate supervisor, and on the basis of written work submitted.
