PSYC 6012 Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy Practicum

An introductory supervised professional field-based experience that is primarily in the provision of direct counseling services. Students serve under the direct supervision of a licensed mental health professional. Emphasis is on instruction in advanced counseling methods and techniques, development of a personal theory of counseling, and counseling practice with supervision. (A minimum of 150 clock hours is required.)
