Instruction focuses on human diversity, needs of diverse populations (handicapped, gifted, ESL, disadvantages), the planning process for outcome-oriented learning experiences, higher-level thinking, curriculum adaptation for students from special populations, teaching for three domains (cognitive, affective, and psychomotor), environmental factors affecting achievement, self-esteem, informal and formal assessment, and principles of test development.
