BUSI 3423 Business Research Methods | Class hours: 3 Lab hours: 0 | Semesters Available: Spring Years Available: All | | The focus of this course is on using business forecasting for managerial decision making. Topics include data analysis, reviewing of inference, distributions, and descriptive statistics, and collection and presentation of data. Statistical techniques covered include auto regression, ANOVA, discriminate analysis, linear and multiple regression, nonparametric tests, and other advanced statistical techniques. Students will learn to use forecasting techniques such as moving average, exponential smoothing among other to forecast profits and sales. Use of statistical software such as SPSS, Minitab, or Excel is included. | | Prerequisite: MATH 1423 with a grade of C or higher. |
