READ 2003 Introduction To Language And Literacy | Class hours: 3 Lab hours: 0 | Semesters Available: Spring Years Available: All | | Students will examine literacy acquisition and development, with an emphasis on interactions among language, reading, writing, and cognition. Topics include methods of using basal readers, children's literature, phonics instruction, and whole language; and ways of organizing and managing early reading instruction. Students will observe and participate in elementary classrooms, grades 1-5. |
