A study of heredity principles, including molecular aspects, basic Mendelian genetics, and population genetics. Genetic models from viruses to humans are used. The laboratory is a balance of experiments, learning molecular techniques as well as working out Mendelian principles.
Prerequisites: BIOL 1113, BIOL 1123, and CHEM 1113.
