Traditional Students Honors (HNRS) Honors HNRS 1003 Biblical Worldview This course equips students to evaluate challenging social, philosophical, and religious questions through the biblical worldview. Students will analyze various non-biblical worldviews. Students will demonstrate their learning through exegesis, opinion papers, and group discussions. This course emphasizes analytical thinking, problem solving, theological formation, apologetics, writing, and hermeneutics. This course fulfills the requirement for BIBL 1003. Class 3. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program. (Fall) HNRS 1013 Honors Freshman Composition I This course fulfills the requirement for ENGL 1013. Class 3. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program. (Fall) HNRS 1023 Honors Freshman Composition II This course fulfills the requirement for ENGL 1023. Class 3. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program. (Spring) HNRS 1101 Freshman Honors Seminar This course assists the LeTourneau University Honors student in exploring the skills and attitudes necessary for achieving excellence. Student and University expectations associated with the Honors Program will be discussed. This course fulfills the requirement for LETU 1101. Class 1. Prerequisite: Admission to the Honors Program. (Fall) HNRS 2013 Special Topics Courses uniquely designed and offered only to students formally enrolled in the Honors Program. Topics vary and the course may be taken more than once when the topics are different. Class 3. Prerequisites: HNRS 1003, HNRS 1013, HNRS 1023 and HNRS 1101. HNRS 2111 Seminar Topics Contemporary or other issues of special interest offered in a highly interactive format. Topics vary and the course may be taken more than once when the topics are different. Class 1. Prerequisites: HNRS 1003, HNRS 1013, HNRS 1023 and HNRS 1101. HNRS 4551,4561 Senior Seminars Interdisciplinary capstone experiences designed to help integrate the various parts of the student's total academic program. Class 1.
