R.G. LeTourneau Online Museum

Welcome to the R.G. LeTourneau Museum Online!   R.G. LeTourneau, co-founder (with his wife, Evelyn) of LeTourneau University was an inventor, entrepreneur, philanthropist, educator and most of all, a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. The museum follows the footprints of one of the most influential Christians of the 20th Century. You are invited to contribute!

This web-site is organized to match the three sections of the R.G. LeTourneau Memorial Museum and Archives, located on the campus of LeTourneau University in Longview, Texas.

The Man A look at the life of R.G. LeTourneau.
The Machines LeTourneau is considered to be the father of the modern earthmoving industry.  At look at some of his nearly 300 inventions.
The Mission

His heart was focused on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.  His personal speaking ministry, his missionary efforts in Africa and South America, and the founding of LeTourneau University is highlighted.

f you happen to be in the Longview, Texas area, you might also enjoy touring the R.G. LeTourneau Memorial Museum and Archives, located on the campus of LeTourneau University.
The museum consists of both exterior displays, including three examples of early earthmoving equipment, and a visitors center, located on the third floor of the Memorial Student Center at the heart of campus. Currently on display is "R.G. LeTourneau: The Man, the Machines, and the Mission."

The museum is free and open to the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and by appointment at other times. The R.G. LeTourneau archives contain thousands of papers, films, tapes and memorabilia connected to R.G. and Evelyn LeTourneau. Scholars may have access to these materials by contacting the Learning Resource Center office of public services at (903) 233-3267. For more information, call (903) 233-3172 (Unive

Both R.G. and Evelyn LeTourneau are buried on the LeTourneau University campus. Their gravesites may be found near the front entrance.

Footprints of R. G. LeTourneau

R.G. LeTourneau had a world-wide impact for his Lord and in the earthmoving industry. Quite frequently we hear from people whose lives were touched by his work and ministry. We now have a way to share those memories with our world-wide web audience: Footprints of R.G. LeTourneau. As web-readers submit recollections, pictures--even audio tapes--we will post them on the website.
