There are a few things that need to be taken care of before you get here to make sure you are ready to move in and start classes. Some of them are for safety, some of them are administrative; but they are all for your benefit. Completing the things on this checklist as early as possible is the best way to make your transition to college an easy one and to make your first weekend a breeze. Make sure you take a look at this list and take care of everything on here before you show up to LeTourneau, and you’ll be good to go. Please contact us if you have any questions!
The arrival form will give us the information we will need to make sure you will have transportation from your point of arrival to the university.
Note: You may have already filled this out if you have registered for classes online.
LeTourneau University requires all students taking six or more credit hours to have health (medical) insurance. Students may choose to either:
Accept the university's insurance program
Detailed information about the university’s insurance can be found at https://www.academichealthplans.com/letu.
Waive enrollment in this program by providing proof of your own insurance coverage.
NOTE: It is the student’s responsibility to notify Student Accounts of any change in your insurance information.
To avoid placement of the university’s policy, you must provide your health insurance information no later than the 12 th day of classes. After the 12 th day of classes, the premium is non-refundable.
If you have insurance questions, contact the Office of Student Accounts at 903-233-4131.
These forms are only necessary if you will have any sort of vehicle on campus. This includes vehicles such as bicycles and trailers, as well as cars and trucks. A separate form must be filled out for each vehicle.
Whether you are a commuter student or living on campus, we have meal plan options for you. We are very excited to offer food provided by Bon Appétit in our Corner Café. Please read the meal plan information located here.
It's very important to have all your immunizations and health records up-to-date before you come to campus. So make sure that you take time to submit your health record if you haven't already done so. We recommend you do this one early, as sometimes you run into hang-ups at your doctors office. If you need more information on health records, please email the school nurse sheladawson@letu.edu
Send in your photo ID. Take a head-shot of yourself and send it in to futurestudent@letu.edu Save the file as Lastname_firstname_ID and shoot it on over to us. We will print up your ID card and have it ready for you when you get here!
Note: The photo must be a close-up of your head and shoulders with direct view of your face so that your face covers approximately 65% to 75% of the photo. For best results, photos should be taken against a light-colored, plain background and need to be a minimum resolution of 600x600. Also, photos submitted must be representative of the mission of LeTourneau University and can be rejected at LETU's discretion for content or usability.
Please read this information before arriving on campus.
