Cary and Tracy are both on staff & faculty at John Brown University.
Cary serves as Associate Professor in the Division of Biblical Studies. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary, and his MA and PhD from the University of Manchester, England. Cary is the author of The Devotional Wesley: Inspirational Selections from John Wesley’s Sermons (Bristol House, Ltd, 2009), and he co-edited a book entitled Building a Culture of Faith: University-wide Partnerships for Spiritual Formation (Abilene Christian University Press, 2012.)
Tracy is the Director of Christian Formation at JBU, where she develops and supports initiatives that guide students and staff on the journey of faith. She received her Masters of Ministry degree from John Brown, and is a certified spiritual director. Tracy has a vigorous interest in the faith expression of the early Celtic Christians in Ireland and Scotland, and is the author of Thin Places: An Evangelical Journey into Celtic Christianity (Leafwood Press, 2007) and A Listening Life (Pinyon Press, 2011). Her most recent book – Permission to Ponder: Contemplative Wisdom for the Spiritually Distracted (Leafwood Press) — was released in October 2015. Tracy has, along with Cary, led numerous student and alumni trips to various locations in the United Kingdom.
Cary and Tracy have two daughters: Kelsey, married to Jordan Howard, and Langley, a recent graduate of JBU.
