Congratulations to all of the students who competed in the 2009 Heritage Scholarship event.  The top 10 finalist were determined by three objective criteria:  1) best SAT/ACT score (10%); 2) the team challenge (45%); and 3) the essay (45%). 

Here are your top 10 scoring students (in no particular order)

1.   Jennifer Nelson - currently lives in Nairobi, Kenya and attends Rosslyn Academy. Her major is Biology.
2.  Trisha DeGroot  - from Port Tobacco, MD.  Trisha is home schooled and her major is Business.
3.   Mark Harrison - from Durham, NC.  Mark attends the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.  He plans to study Mechanical Engineering.
4.  Michael Nash - from Waxhaw, NC.  Michael attends the Central Academy of Tech & Arts.  He plans to study Computer Science Engineering.
5.  Tiffany Boren - from Overton, TX.  Tiffany attends East Texas Christian School. Tiffany has not finalized her major yet.
6.  Rebekah Pace - from Longview Texas.  Rebekah atends Pine Tree High School and will major in Mechanical Engineering.
7.  Jenneth Zettler - from Lone Oak, Tx.  Jenneth attends Lone Oak High School. She plans to major in Engineering.
8.  Ian Willard - from Miltona, MN.  Ian is home schooled and plans to major in Electrical Engineering.
9.  Stephanie Nystrom - from Lawrence, KS.  Stephanie is home schooled and plans to major in Bio-Medical Engineering.
10.  Tyler Shuman - currently lives in Kandern, Germany and attends Black Forrest Academy.  His major is Professional Flight.
