Cortney has lived in the East Texas area most of her life, and currently resides in Hawkins, TX. She graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She hopes to use the knowledge she gains in the graduate program at LeTourneau to help individuals, couples, and families overcome life’s struggles and enter to a place of healing.
I believe that God intended us to be in relationships with others and Himself. My passion and the burden that I believe God has put on my heart is for my community. I desire to see our local communities grow and come together with a common goal in mind. That goal is healthy relationships and healthy families. The key to becoming a thriving family is learning how to be in good, solid relationships with others. These relationships can then be modeled for others and the pattern will continue. I also want to bring hope to hurting people in their current situations. Unfortunately, we live in a fallen world and bad things continue to happen, but God offers us hope for a better future with Him. Through the counseling process, I want be a light to help others find that hope in their darkness.
