Last year's VERT team created a vertical axis wind turbine capable of producing electrical power. This also included making the turbine efficient in operation and cost effective to manufacture. This year's VERT team goals are to design and create a step-up transmission as well as a thermal vortex generator which will transfer thermal energy into wind energy in the absence of natural occurring wind. These goals will allow the VERT team to contribute to the work of spreading the Gospel; while at the same time, bringing the blessing of sustainable energy to those teaching and seeking the Gospel of Christ Jesus.
